this is not real.
how to tell: typos/awkward phrasing odd font in the copyright area requiring you to enter in facebook login info in the app if this was really from facebook, the message would have perfect spelling and grammar, the font wouldnt look so weird, nor would there be a fake barcode, and they wouldn't ask for your username and password-they already have it, they have no need to ask for it. This isn't just someone trying to scare you either, this is whats called phishing. Phishing is when someone poses a legitmate company/person in order to obtain personal details about you, in this case, your facebook account. report the message and delete it. edit: further evidence http://www.facebook.com/apps/application...9371875061 heres the detail page for the app, note how it says it wasn't developed by facebook, also if you look at the developer's profile page you'll see they have no photos or info and they only have 1 friend. edit again: braini is referring to something else that is official and from facebook, and while its kind of dirty and underhanded on facebook's part, its legit. This is not from facebook. |
