He's hiding something which is why he's going out of his way to make everything "invisible". Stuff like that you bring up on the spot so that they have no time to make up excuses and look em right in the eyes. If he fails to respond smoothly without looking all 'stupid', he's up to something. Confront him about it. And tell him his previous excuse doesn't sit well you. He can still focus on you without TURNING THE FACE OF HIS PHONE OVER , which was only to prevent you from seeing something. Confront him.
