contacting someone - Facebook or phone?
I need to get ahold of someone (see below), and I'd appreciate thoughts / opinions about which would be the better way to contact them -- by Facebook message, or by phone.

I bought from a photographer who sells photos through a 'digital storefront.' The Web site hosts people's photos for them. When orders are placed, the site processes the payments, but the photographers themselves handle the rest (shipping, etc).

I never got my order, and the site's customer service folks say they can't reach this photographer. (Turns out that the contact info that they have on-file was outdated / never updated.) But I easily found newer info for him.

So I can either call, or send a Facebook message. It seems like the phone would be faster and more direct -- and even friends of mine often ignore my FB messages. But, I tend to trip over my words when I'm talking. So neither method really seems ideal to me.

I'm not sure if the person even KNOWS he has an order waiting, but he has the payment and I have no product, so I'd like to get things settled. (I don't want a refund, either.)

I know I was a bit wordy, but I'd definitely appreciate people's opinions here.
