There is no easy or "good" way to come out of the closet. It all depends on your relationships with your family and friends. Act according to your own conscience and what you feel comfortable with. Your plan has merit. Sometimes your friends finding out from facebook may not be the best way for some of then. Especially if they are close to you. If they are not close friends that may be the best way. Only you can pick and choose who you might contact individually first, if any. Definitely come out to your family first.
