"Buddhist monks have been known to use Astral traveling methods and the person I am dreaming of (or with) is, in fact, a buddhist"
Consciousness doesn't exist independently or on a plane. In Theravada Buddhism, consciousness is explained as one of the five aggregates: physical aggregate (all physical forms) and mental aggregates (feeling, perception, thought, and consciousness). These five aggregates are interdependent and don't arise without others. Five Aggregates (search it online for more information) http://www.accesstoinsight.org/lib/autho...andha.html Seeing consciousness as independent and lasting is considered groundless in Buddhism. Dependent Origination http://buddhism.about.com/od/basicbuddhi...enesis.htm A Buddhist should understand it. But if one meditates "insight meditation", not necessary to know it literary. One will understand it by one's own experience. ....... "Nearly 7 years ago, ..." The ability of mind (the four aggregates) is wired. I cannot know everything what mind can do. Telepathic contact can occur. There are other factors too such as you knew each others in the past lives and were close etc so you two are drew to each others telepathically. I wish I knew everything too. It's just a wish. ..... "Astral travelling" Jhanna (Zen, Chan, Jhan) is the ability of mind by which one can do many different things. It's the ability of mind caused by strong concentration. Different people gains different abilities. Watch some of the superhuman videos. The power of mind is everything. It makes one a professor, or a thug... http://www.youtube.com/results?search_qu...power&sm=1 Have a nice day!! |
