Why do you find that offensive? The police go around tasering people, spraying pepper into people’s eyes, shooting people dead and god knows what else, yet they are portrayed as heroes by the media all the time.

I suppose some people have got it into their heads that’s what good for the goose is good for the gander. Surprising, considering that the police treat the public so well.

What I do find offensive was letting this guy out on bail after he killed a few people with guns and hand grenades. The second offensive occurrence is sending two women to deal with a burglary in progress when the police suspected that this killer was being hidden in the area. That’s offensive. Then he goes and does it again? Were those in command as surprised as us?

I think that people should be allowed to say what they want. It’s no more offensive than someone setting up a Tory Bliar tribute page and saying he was a legend for what he did to Iraq. If this guy needs to be brought to his senses, then the law won’t do it unless the police bring him round to meet the families or attend the wakes of the two murdered policewomen. Then it might sink in, with a police escort for his own protection of course. Then they should let him go about his merry way and hope that the experience has taught him a lesson in how to treat his fellow man or woman. Some policemen should be taken to a few wakes too. Live by the sword, die by the sword, they’re all as bad as each other.
