Need help using paypal??

Well Paypal is something both you and the buyer need to be signed up to use. Where you sell your items is where the paypal is offered as a choice or payment option & IS THE key place you want to look. If you sell say, on ebay, you choose how you want to be paid, some choose ONLY paypal, others will accept a few other methods.

Now as far as all your paypal info., please make a habit of placing ALL of your account numbers, login & PW info. in a password protected document & whenever you sign up for some other account, put it all in there. Put a shortcut on your desktop for the document so you can get to it quickly as often as you need.

Wherever you post up things to sell will be the location to handle how you want to be paid & there is where you put all your paypal info. The person buying would have to use their own paypal info. when buying or winning say an item on ebay, yours is already entered once when you set up your ebay account, or wherever you will sell your stuff. Although, Craigslist doesn't have the kinds of options of ebay, much riskier.... ebay is probably the BEST place to sell stuff. If someone bought something from you on ebay, THEY are the one having to find their paypal info. after winning say a DVD movie you sold. You would simply be notified or if you stay logged in you would see all items sold etc.... the money would pretty much be instant.

Your own settings in your own paypal account can be changed though. Maybe you want to move your money to different bank accounts? Maybe you want to see if all money can automatically be transferred. That's all up to you.

Now if you wanted someone to pay you using paypal, say you put up an ad in Craigslist or some notice in Facebook .,.. no actual selling/buying website.... or a friend bought your ummm.... big screen TV for $400... You would just give them your email address & name & they send you a payment using their paypal. Then paypal notifies your email. Once you open that email notification, there will be a link to click on bringing you to paypal where you will log in there with your info (login & PW) then once you're inside your own account, you can choose where to move the money (like to your bank account). In there it will show who is sending you the money & any notes from them.

Do remember, there are tax laws about buying/selling, mainly if you make an income that is pretty good, I think anything over $400 in a year, you will need to report it & I believe most buy/sell venues online, keep track of this & send something near tax time every year. I believe you would get something from ebay and paypal. That's no biggie, just FYI..... still... important. Especially if you ended up making $15k in a year & needed to pay taxes on that money.

So bottom line, the buy/sell website is the location to get things set up It takes time for them to verify all your info., so if you wanted to post something next week, you better get your ebay account all set up now. Remember to view the charges ebay makes a buck & so does paypal. Everyone gets a piece unless you sell on Craigslist, but ebay has protections & rules that you want. Craigslist if full of every kind of human being there is. From good to the worst possible sorts. If it's just occasional stuff still, ebay is great but also I suppose you could keep it within' friends circles & put up some notice in your facebook or whatever your buddies are doing to buy/sell.

(I love ebay)

Anywho, hope this helps
