You can send people invoices through email. And another thing, your email address is your account number. When you click a paypal button to buy something the paypal login page will popup and then you put your paypal email address and password then hit submitt. Then paypal will ask do you want to pay with your balance, or a card that you have linked to your account. It's just that easy when paying with paypal.

If you want to sell products using paypal, There are a few things you can do. When a person want to buy something you can email them a invoice from paypal just click "request money" put the email address of the person that's buying the product and put the amount the product cost and hit send. When the person get the email they will pay by using their paypal account and the money will go straight to your paypal account.

Long story short, your paypal email is your account number.
