I strongly encourage you to chase after your dream if you have the determination. Understand that the film industry is a very competitive industry and the only people who make it in the industry are the determined, the talented, and the experienced.
You said that you don't think you can write stories.. well i don't mean to be harsh, but you cannot be a film director is you cannot create and understand stories. It is the most important part of the job. However, you said that you could make a story into a movie through a camera. If you truly are in love with movies and want to go into the industry, i would strongly suggest you become a cinematographer. He's the guy who creates the camera angles and actually shoots the film.

I would suggest going to a 4-year film school in Los Angeles. The best film schools in the country reside either there or in New York. In LA, you should take a look at the University of Southern California, the University of California - Los Angeles, Chapman University, California Institute of the Arts, or the American Film Institution.
Other good schools include Columbia University and New York University in NY, University of Texas - Austin, and Columbia College Chicago.
All of these schools are pretty pricey, but they are the best which film has to offer.
A degree in film production or film studies is what you're gonna be looking at. Most likely a BFA.

I think it would be very good of you to complete your nursing program before going to film school. Then, if you cannot make a career out of the film industry (which many can't), you will still have a career to fall back on.

If you have any questions, feel free to message me.
