What would happen if i sold a iphone but didn't pay the last bill?

The thing is this...Let's say he owes $200 on it and doesn't have the money to pay it so he is doing an early termination of his contract. So they will then charge him a fee for early termination that can be a few hundred dollars or more, for this argument we will say they will charge a $350 fee. So now he owes $550, and will not be able to get another contract with Sprint for a while and any cell phone service he wants to get will then require him to pay an upfront fee or if he is lucky a deposit. Either way we will say that is another $400. So, it would be cheaper for him to dish out $950 or more, not including any other fees than to just pay the $200 or talk to Sprint about a payment plan. Not to mention the fact that Sprint can just stick him with the entire retail cost of the phone if he did not already pay for it. And no, Sprint will not confiscate the phone, they will just charge him for it.
