I think it will last a very long time mostly because Facebook was one of the first to do it. And mainly because Facebook is family and family is forever.. it also deals with friends., witch are the ones close to you.. it makes it easy to contact people in different states and it is seen to be professional.. advertisements, large CEO company's have Facebook pages. As in with twitter you have to know the person twitter name more than half the time to contact them and it seems to be more open for the youth and celebrity's
