yes you could potentially make a lot of money from having advertisements on your site. A lot of people and businesses make a lot of money of it like Facebook.com. BUT in order for it to be profitable you will need to have A LOT of people visiting you site and some advertisers only pay you if their ads are view and/or clicked on.
