Too much?Too clingey?

Basically i was with a group of my friends and we went into town and some of the boys in our group saw a boy they knew and they went over to say hello and i smiled at him and my friend told him my name and he added me on facebook.We have been have quite a lot of deep conversations because hes not the typical 'lad' hes never had a girlfriend etc only ever kissed one girl and he seems really trusthworthy,So i have told him a few things no one knows about me.We have both been going through similiar problems and have agreed to always be there for eachother.We have been talking now for about just over a week and he told one of the boys who is friends with me that he thinks he likes me,I think ilike him too but obviously i cant like him that much because i havent actuallly spoken to him in real life.We both start the conversation i would say equal amounts but i dont want him to think im too into him like obsessed with him.. Also we have spoken about meeting up but i have never met up with someone one to one who i have never met in real life how do i make it not awkward? Should i wait for him to start the conversation most of the time?
