So I just met this person on Omegle... is there any danger in me giving them my kik username?

I know Omegle isn't known as the... "classiest" of websites, what with the nudity you will no-doubt encounter with your first five partners. However, I've met dozens of people that I've had hours-long conversations with, only to tell them "Sorry, I don't give out my facebook/cell phone #/Twitter on this site". I'm 16, making 17 next week, and I know it's very possible that even the nicest of people that you can talk to for hours are actually pedophiles or predators, and I've even heard stories of my friends telling me how people they've never even spoken to trying to flirt with them or begin a sexting session over kik... but these are people that I've actually spoken with face-to-face(albeit through a medium), and the app's site says that the ONLY information given out is a person's username and profile picture, and that there's even a way to block people that aren't in your friend's list from messaging you. I just met a really nice guy tonight(18, so close to my age), and I want to start messaging them, but I'm just worried about A.) safety, and B.) whether or not this will affect me later -- I don't want to get into sexting, and if he does, I'll put a stop to our messaging at all and just block him, but I don't want my mom finding out about my omegle convos(I just get on there to talk to people, not flash or dirty-message)... I can just tell her he's a friend from school or something, but as I said, is it dangerous to give a person your kik info? I'm even changing my username to a bunch of jumbled numbers so it'll be hard for other people to find it anyway...I don't want to keep stopping convos with the cool people i meet XP Help?
