Just clearing your Firefox browser history cache shouldn't cause problems getting on a web site. I clear my history after each session on IE, AOL and Firefox. Never had problems getting back on any web site unless the problem was caused by any one of many other possibilities. Run your anti virus protection and also clean your hard drive using the Windows Disc Cleanup program and running the Windows Error-checking program located in the "Computer" program. Open your "Computer" program> right click on the "C" Drive>go down to "Properties" and open it>click on the "Tools" tab>click on the "Check Now" box>another box will open...tick the box that says "Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors"> then hit Start. It won't start because you're using Windows, so choose it to run the next time you open Windows. If you want it to run right away, just "Restart" your computer and it will automatically run and clean your drive and repair any bad sectors. This may take an hour or more, depending on if you do this regularly or not. I run it weekly. This should help with your browser problems. I can usually tell when I need to run the Error-checking program because things begin to slow down.
