is online college courses harder than going on campus and sitting thru a class?

It's very different. It all depends on you. Taking college in a traditional class is good for structure & keeping you on track. You can interact face to face with others to ask questions & get a better understanding.

With online classes it's all on you. You must stay on top of things, keep up on reading, and manage your time effectively. You can ask questions but it may take time to get a reply back.

How do you best learn? How disciplined are you? One more thing - with an online college make sure it is regionally accredited (highest accreditation). Some for-profit online colleges are simply diploma mills that charge a lot & their degrees are worthless (example: University of Phoenix).
