All websites including this one you are asking this question on has some form of cookies. Cookies such as "Double click" which you will find the majority of the time are not harm full despite what your Anti Virus/Spyware blocker may say. They are used to track what services of a website gets used most. Find your interests so that advertisements can be more personalized. And basically keep track of their overall traffic. Personally I find this to be an abomination to our privacy but they wouldn't do this if it were illegal so if you use their site your pretty much out of luck. You can take measures to protect your privacy by selecting "Tools / Internet Options / and Delete your Browsing History". Be sure cookies is selected. You can also prevent future cookies by raising your privacy settings in your Internet Options. Doing this however will block you from using such items as Yahoo E-Mail and even such things as this Answers Questions Page.
