I have a moderm internet connection but want wi-fi how can I get it?

Most ISPs (your Internet Provider) will give you a free wireless router if you ask them.
I don't know which country you are in but that is certainly true in the UK.

Otherwise you can buy a wireless gateway that will replace your modem. Or buy a wireless router that you can connect to your existing modem.
