No, it is totally wrong what she has been doing. Blackmailing, and Torturing her daughter. If your friend dose not step up and confront her mother this will never end and trust me her mom will die one day and your friend will be stuck with the decisions her mom made for her for life well with most of them..
I know it will be very hard for her to do that (confront) her mother but she has no other choice..
