is it normal to have a tech visit + installation charge on my first comcast bill?
I'm in an apartment that had never had internet, so the cables are all here but they had never been pulled out of the walls from the sockets. so the first guy who came had no idea what he was doing and said there was no cables. the second guy messed around a bit and eventually just pulled the cables out. i'm just wondering if the tech visit charge and the installation charge are normal for first time bills. I expect an installation charge, but is the tech visit normal or was I getting charged because they sent a 2nd guy when the 1st one was too dumb (once the 2nd guy found the cables, by simply reaching into the wall farther, it was simple as hell)
of course i called them and I got some lady who sounded like she didnt gaf and when I asked her the same question she immediately replied yes and when i asked more she didn't seem too interested in elaborating. so I am trying to find out for sure, and if I have to i'll call back and bother them until they change my bill. it was super pricey, for the lowest speed internet!
I rented a modem for $7
yeah the process seemed ridiculously simple once he located the cables, which in itself wasn't hard either, probably just not used to a new building and not having the cables already at the front of sockets. my bill is over a $100 though and I signed up for their lowest speed internet (which is plenty fine for me anyways). I didnt even know there was an option of doing it yourself because this is my first time on my own.

i'm just confused what the hell is the difference between a tech visit and an install charge
