You might be interested in taking a telecommunications or technology class. Some of the terminologies you will learn about are:

fiber optics, satellites, mainframes, servers, wireless communications, radio waves and frequencies.

Bytes, Megabytes, Gigabytes and Terabytes have to do with the memory capacity of your computer which is situated in the circuitry of the "Motherboard".

Our computers are connected to each other via satellite and servers(the servers/mainframes are owned by the internet service providers), through radio waves and frequencies and cable wires.
