Well there are so many things you can do, but for starters try these tips. These are the most important one.

1. Whatever subject your blog is on, try to identify few suitable keywords for the blog and optimize your blog accordingly. For example, if your blog is about football, chose some similar keywords and use them in your blog URL, post titles, posts, tags, image alt texts etc. But do not over do the keywords, that is bad.

2. Post consistently and regularly on your blog. If you can write up to three posts per week, then you don’t have to post every day, just be consistent with the numbers of posts per week.

3. Create useful, interesting and informative posts. Posts that readers will like to spend time on. Also interact with them when they comment on your posts.

4. Share your posts in social networking sites. Whenever you post something share it on Facebook, Twitter or any social networking site you like.
