No offense, but is the internet for losers?

The internet is what you make it. There are both losers and great people just like the real world.

Personally the internet has opened up a world recreation for me as its a great place to research things to do, books are great but they are by nature out of date as soon as they are printed. I've used forums to find secret hot springs in BC. I discovered the west coast trail online and was on the trail within a month of reading about it. Google maps has led me to many a remote campsite I never would have found otherwise. I used the internet to choose my camera and learnt how to colour correct my photos so I would have great photos to remember my adventures and share with friends.

Its such a massive generalization to suggest everyone on the internet is losers with to much time on their hands considering their are billions of humans connected. Are revolutionaries using twitter to incite change and create fair and equal society's losers? How about the science community that uses the internet to collaborate on projects and share massive amounts of data? Remote communities that use skype to visit the doctor? Looser all of them?

I think we know at least one looser on the internet....
