My reply to someone who asked earlier:
It's mighty suspicious, though their using a paid "privacy" registration proxy makes if difficult to document the site owner and their location. I would not deal with such an anonymous operator, their About Us, Contact Us pages give no address or phone number, at best it's probably a bedroom based operation, it doesn't have all of the earmarks of a Chinese counterfeit site, but I would assume they are selling knock offs. At least their age and lack of outrage on the net suggests that at least deliver something. Other sites recently on the same file server, that may share the same owner: o-case.com vmv-inc.com older: become.com yippee-design.com One of these comments suggested it's a "legit site from Hong Kong" which would be very unlikely http://niketalk.com/topic/288793/VMV-Inc#.T-e_WnDs87A http://niketalk.yuku.com/topic/229371#.T-e-DHDs87A http://www.youtube.com/user/GettinGreasy88 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z1me7t-a6kI B Grades? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WZBS40bTkBo I see no good reason for risking dealing with such an unknown site. Here are some large respected shoe sites: Zappos.com (has free shipping and return shipping) did have some bad publicity after their customer database was hacked. 6pm.com ( Zappos owned clearance store) Onlineshoes.com Shoebuy.com Shoemetro.com eastbay.com (shares facilities with Footlocker) There are forums that are dedicated to sneakers, which can be educational. http://solecollector.com/forums/ http://www.sneakerfreaker.com/forum/ http://niketalk.com Ads |
