Does Facebook have a REAL use?

You might not like my answer because it stands against what you say but I just thought of voicing my opinion.

Yeah I agree with you as far as most the applications go but to be fair, no one forces you to add them. For example I get 30 invites per day, I feel no obligation to accept any of the appliactions that aren't relevant to what I want. I only have a couple of them and those were ones I picked out myself.

Plus, the main pro of having facebook is the fact that you get to connect with friends you've lost touch with over the years. Through it I could now see what classmates who left the school I currently attend have been up to by viewing their photos, videos, status..etc.

The birthday notification is an up side as well since I no longer miss out on anyone and get to wish them a happy b-day =)

Groups, this is some way in which you could spend your time. You could join groups that meet your interests and start participating in them. For example if by any chance you do like pets then maybe you'd like to join this group I have there. Its called: Pet Lovers Around The World and its link is: http://hs.facebook.com/group.php?gid=8522544818

lol ok I notice that I'm writing way too much so I'll stop now. I just want to add that facebook does get boring but only when you don't find something that interests you =)
