Anyone know the cajun history of baby-naming?
Does anyone know how cajun parents name their babies? Do they follow popular trends within their own culture or do they mostly choose from the same pool of oldies but goodies? For example, naming them after parents and grandparents etc. I thought I read once that historically catholic priests often chose the given name, but the regular or nickname was from the parents.
