SEO is the process of optimising your website to achieve organic ranking (Free ranking) in search engines.
This is achieved by ensuring your website has everything it needs to align with the search engines criteria or requirements.
1, Do research on the keywords/phrases you want to rank for (use Google Keyword planner)
2, Ensure the Title tags, Meta keywords and descriptions of your page have the keyword phrases in the tags.
3. Ensure the keywords are in your website a lot in different ways like re-phrasing, this is called keyword density.
4. Google likes it when you have a Contact us page, Terms of Use and Privacy policy and a XML site map of your website on your website.
5. Name your graphics on your website with the keywords you want to rank for as well.
6. Make back links to your website (only real ones no paid fake ones or you'll be blacklisted) the more different domains the better. The higher ranked the website the more authority the link has i.e., Facebook, twitter, amazon etc)
7. Submit your website to different search engines APIs to get picked up sooner
