Computer internet problem?

What joe said isn't plausible.

It's either the amount of devices you have in the house killing your internet speed, or your router is just getting a bit old. It really wouldn't have to do with your computer, to be honest. If you are on verizon ( you noted about fiber optic ) then go to your router, unplug it and leave it off for about ten minutes. Then plug in back in and try using your internet again.

Or if you know the login credentials, go to a web browser, type in 192.168.1.1 ( by default ) and look around for router reset, it will reset it to factory default and kill all of the old connections.
