Try to ask him out for a date. if you both like to talk about band related things maybe invite over practice playing instruments or go do something related to music. seriously if that's the only topic you feel comfortable talking to him start a relationship based on that then eventually you both well start talking about everything and you conversations will be way more fluid and easy. thinl of him as a friend first but try to give him subtle clues that your into him. ( EXAMPLE hug him for a good five seconds before you leave him tell him you cant wait to see him again. and when you do see him again tell him you missed him and smile right at him. trust me hell know.)
