It has to be crawled before it will be shown in the results in any form, give then some time.

The definitive test, search for: site:yoursiteurl.com

Actually just getting a few backlinks from sites already indexed will typically get your site indexed as the spiders 'discover' the site.

Pinging updated pages gets some indexes to review it more quickly, pingler.com and pingomatic.com are both mass pingers (maybe doing too much)
