If you search for coupon codes you might find a first year price as low as $3 from a site like godaddy.com or namecheap.com.

It is a bit technically challenging to setup a custom domain name on Blogger but it only has to be done once. You could use the free subdomain offered by default to have a totally free site with the address sheriselitz.blogspot.com

I have heard that numbers in email addresses and web site names can trigger some spam detectors as being potentially auto generated names.
