The typical settings used by most wireless modems these days is the ip address 192.168.0.1, for at home the net mask should be 255.255.255.0, which allows up to 253 connections on to the network. if you are using a wifi unit connected on to the network to transmit a signal to wifi on your computer as well as having computers connected to the Ethernet this could get a bit more complex though as the computers connected on the Ethernet may be using automatic ip addresses which will follow in a chain eg: 192.168.0.2 192.168.0.3 ... . Best thing is if you have some spare Ethernet cables, then check what address is being used on them, and counting from the first computer using 2 as the last part of the address give one or two extra numbers for the address of the wifi unit (where it is not the modem). also Linksys wifi routers use a default address of 192.168.1.1 so I would use a spare Ethernet cable to connect this unit to the computer, without the rest of the network connected, then go into the settings to configure your network settings, using the same settings as automatically configured on Ethernet for the wifi unit, then use this cable to loop internet port to one of the four Ethernet ports provided on the rear of the unit, and also connect the internet line onto one of these four ports, as otherwise the wifi router will separate the wifi/Ethernet from the rest of the network which can be very annoying, and stop you from sharing over the lan. I hope this helps you
