You are conflating the two terms Deep Web and Dark Net when they are distinct entities. The Surface Web is what you can find when you search with a search engine such as Google. It makes up a small part of the web most of which is not indexed and so not searchable and is known as the Deep Web. It is mostly academic and government reports and archives, pages that are created dynamically (that is they do not exist until someone asks for them) etc. There is nothing sinister about the Deep Web. A small part of the Deep Web is populated by criminal elements who, for obvious reasons, do not want to be found via search engines this part is known as the Dark Net (which itself should not be confused with the Dark Web)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deep_Web TOR is a separate entity again being an anonymising network (known as Onion sites) which means that the users cannot be traced - although many can be traced - again only a small part of the TOR network is used for criminal activities. https://www.torproject.org http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/find-active-onion-sites/ https://sites.google.com/site/howtoacces...e-deep-web Ads |
