is this response to my guitar lessons ad on craigslist a scam?
I received an email wanting to know how much I would charge for a month's worth of lessons for a guy's son who would want two hour lessons twice a week... which is an odd request to begin with. Then I broke down the price for him and he responds with this:
Hello, Am glad to hear from you and everything sound good to me, Am Patrick smith by name, my son is coming for an holiday in your (CITY), His name is Eric and he is 15 years old .I want him to be busy during the day, because i will be in SPAIN for business trip for a month that is why i want him to be lesson, Am okay with your price and i have decided to let him attend your lesson and he will be coming 2 hour in a day in the Afternoon, also get back to me with your own convenient time and day you want my son to be coming in 2 days in a week and ihave Someone (Nanny) that will always drives him down to your lesson center...I will be happy if you can help my son because my son is highly interested in your tutor lesson and he can avoid to miss it. Kindly get back to me with your information below. 1.Your Full Name............ 2.Street Address............ 3.City, State, Zip Code..... 4.Cell Phone Number......... The reason why i need the information is that the payment will sent to you through Usps Or FedEx Courier, So that the courier can deliver the payment to you. Hope you understand me better. Thanks Pat. ------------ what's the deal with the "your (CITY)" part?? Is this some computer program thing that sends out mass scams and was supposed to put my city in that spot?? How is getting my address and contact info going to lead into him scamming me?? Something seems fishy but I just want to make sure... Ads |
