How to get people to visit my blog?

So basically I love people and I love to help them when I can. I've had my fair share of problems, as we all have. But I never had someone to walk me through it. I'd like to be there for others and walk them through it. I'm a teenager just to clarify. I'd be more than willing to answer any and all questions someone may have. If I can just be there for and help one person. That'd be excellent. Problem is, I'm not sure how to get people to find my blog on tumblr and blogger or ask me for advice. As of currently, I have zero traffic. I really want to make that difference. Anyone with experience have some tips? Is patience the key? My apologies is advance if this winds up in the wrong section. Thanks!
