how to uninstall tool bars on my browser?

My gf downloaded gimp a free version of photoshop and while it installed it downloaded a toolbar on my browser? I want to get rid of it because since then my cp feels so much slower now and I hate the thing too? some advice of what to do or links would be great.
also are ther any other things im unaware of that this gimp thing may have downloaded that I can get rid of and find and delete them from my cp?
