The browser bundle is supposed to be pre-configured to work "safely" - not leaking information about your real ip address or location.
According to the documentation, if you run things like BitTorrent at the same time, or maybe Flash or other programs that do not use the Tor proxy, you can out yourself.
There is a way to configure other programs like ftp to use the proxy, but that takes a bit of effort (OK, following instructions and testing it).

Nevertheless, if you are using it for sharing child pornography, the FBI and various random hackers will still try and find you and may well succeed.
