Internet speed extremely slow, occurring for days now, please help!?

I use Time Warner. My plan provides me with 20 mb (download), and 3 mb (upload). I understand this is not guaranteed to get, but as of late, my internet speeds have been unusually slow as compared to how they normally are. I have a top shelf N router (i could add specifications if needed), and the best modem that Time Warner has to offer, so I doubt it is anything in hardware fallacy. In the past maybe 5 days, my internet speeds have been around 1.5 mb download, and 1.3 upload. This is constant, night and day, and with many people in the house on, or only me. I would understand my speeds slowing down at times due to maintenance or having a lot of users on at once, but 5 days straight of this seems a bit unusual. Anyone have any ideas that could be the problem? Thanks!
