How do I talk to more people on twitter?

Well now a days twitter is used to letting people know about things i mean something special, twitter is officially not built for messaging etc. we tweet and let people know that it! But if you are interested in making new friends you can go with facebook or Google+ Wink i never messaged anyone on twitter (till now) but after seeing your question i will try Smile go ahead and talk with your followers!
