Caitlin, worse advice EVER. Telling a girl how you feel if she doesn't already like you makes you the creep.

Dude, don't complicate this. Simply say, "I am going to X, come with me." That's it. That's how you ask for a date. Tell her what you are doing and when. If you do make her laugh and she enjoys your company, she will join you.
