Selling on ebay, question about a suspicious buyer.?

Take a picture of the item in the box right before you seal it to show how it was packed. Take a picture of the post office mailing it and keep the receipt with the weight of the item so he can't claim he got an empty box
Is the buyer overseas? Unfortunately 95% of Buy it Now scams come from overseas. As a new seller you should make sure your settings show you don't ship overseas until you have at least 10-15 sales under your belt
What is the value of the item? If it's expensive pay the extra money for insurance so he can't claim it arrived damaged
Also take loads of pictures of the condition right before you send it so he can't claim it was damaged

There is only so much you can do to protect yourself. You are a new seller and everyone has to start buying sometime on Ebay

For your future listings again I would not offer Buy it Now until you have at least 10-15 sales as the vast majority of scams will use Buy It Now as their accounts are rarely open long enough to complete the bidding process
