You can get targeted traffic cheaply in a few ways. You going to have to understand that it will take testing and tracking. You need to first start with the end in mind and decide what you want that traffic to do. Do you want your target market to opt-in (become a lead), purchase a product, call you, or click through to another page. Once you have figured that out you have to do proper keyword research and find out that your target market is searching for on the search engines like Google, yahoo, and Bing. Once you have figured that out you need to produce content that educated, inform and engages your target market. With out this element you wasting your time. Then publish that content. Now this could be a blog post, article, video, forum post or a post on a high trafficked web 2.0 site. After you have done all of this you will need to have the right tools in place to optimize this content both on page and off page optimization.

Just to be blunt. There is no EASY button unless you have the money to spend on ppc and solo ads. But, if your looking for long-term results you have to always think what is the best for you business and your pocket book.
