Why does the BBC get away with mentioning it has a Facebook page if Faceboo is a money-making entity?

They aren't showing adverts for Facebook, any more than they advertised the Sunday Times when its journalists uncovered the Thalidomide scandal. Seeing as most sports events have advertising displayed using your argument they couldn't show them either or even show a London bus. The BBC is a money making entity itself but isn't sponsored by adverts.
