I'm a teen who's only friend is a random kid who I met on Playstation. I am dependent on his friendship. Help!?

Hi, I just want to thank you for taking the time out of your busy day to read my question. It is deeply appreciated. I will start from the begining.

5 years ago, my father bought me a playstation 3, along with various games and a headset. I began to play alot, and considering i was, and still am a nervous, socially akward, intoverted teenager. I one day joined a lobby in an online game and met...let's just call him Bob (I don't want to use his online or real name).

I thought he was pretty cool, and we enjoyed talking and playing online together. We shared alot of common problems, interests, everything you could think of. I never thought this friendship could be long-term, but time flew by and we've been friends for over four years.

I always feel the need to talk to Bob, he's cool, but as the years go by, people change, it is but the saddest fact of life. He has a girlfriend now and other things on his mind,. He still makes time for me and plays whenever we can, but not as much as before.

I feel bad that Bob and I can't hang out in real life, because he lives in the USA, and I live in Canada. I feel as if he is the only true friend I have ever had and the thought of him not being around for me to confiide in him makes my stomach turn.

We still talk on facebook and play once or twice a week but he'll eventiually have a job, life and priorities. He said we should visit each other one day, but face to face contact seems unlkely. We are both in our mid-late teens as of now.

What do you think I should do. How can I accept the fact that he'll be gone one day, what can I do?
