Deleted off facebook but still comes up as friend ??

Yeah sorry I did mean unfriend not delete lol. I just don&#x27;t understand why when I type the first letter of their name in my search box it comes up with their profile inbetween all my friends with no add friend symbol but when I click on their profile it says add friend... Can they still see my stuff even though I can&#x27;t see theirs?
