Does google prefer it if your .co.uk website is hosted in the UK?

Hi Peter,

The host location may not be a big factor but it sure does help. If you are debating hosting in UK or where you are, I suggest hosting in UK. In the past, Google determines whether your website is targeting UK audience based on the hosting location but things changed now since the ccTLD (.co.uk) will tell them so; however, the hosting location will play a role. It confirms to Google that your website is meant for people in UK.

Once again, not a big factor but it still helps.

Hope this answer will help you decide what to do.
