This may sound silly, but have you ever played "Grand Theft Auto"? The reason I ask is because that game is full of ads, that look like real ads, but they are not. As an example, instead of Pepsi, they feature Poopsie. You can make all the ads you want for fake companies, but you can't use trademarks, or copy written material for your own use. Not even for the best intentions. Many companies may let it go, but all you need is one to sue you. I remember back in the 80's day cares used Disney characters on the walls that were painted by workers for decoration. Disney started to sue claiming CR violations. It made the news back then. Now, Hannah-Barberra (Yogi Bear, etc) said if any one wanted to use there characters, they could, and they would not be so cruel. (See the pitfalls?) Your ability would be better tested making what ever for a fake company anyway. Good Luck.
