Regarding some tips for Website promotion?

The backlink reporting service opensiteexplorer.org reported a total of 5 links coming from other sites, they don't examine all sites for links, particularly the less useful junk sites, but it appears you should have accumulated more backlinks than that in 6 months. Again search engines view backlinks as a popularity vote for a site, they are also aware that these links can be easily purchased, any link created for the purposes of rank manipulation is considered a violation of search engine guidelines, so make then look natural. Mixing sources, and link types help avoid red flags.
Some have had luck getting backlinks packages from freelancers for $5 at Fiverr.com, don't go for thousands, they would be damaging junk, offers of a smaller number of links will probably provide more valuable links, private blog networks had been one of the more conservative sources, your links come from within articles which is better than paid blogroll or footer links, some of the more visible networks were deindexed by search engines last year, but some of the smaller sources may still be helpful.
This site http://dropmylink.com/ helps you search for candidate sites for getting backlinks, a page discussing your site's business makes a much better backlink source, a screw company page linking to a bolt page makes perfect sense, a movie fan site linking to a movers site will look more suspicious.
Flog comments and forum post signatures are some of the easiest ways to get backlinks, providing ueful comments or advice will help your links top be accepted and not deleted as spam.

Too many backlinks can be a problem, increasingly so as the search engines tighten up their spam filters, your site is just reaching the age where you can add a larger number of links without raising suspicion, providing they are diversified. Get some SEO guides if you have not as yet, just don't faithfully follow some outdated guide, even 3 year old advice might be in error here and there.

For one thing I would suggest adding some moving related articles, perhaps about 500 words long, you might pick out about 10 useful looking How To articles found around the web and get them rewritten in a different authors words, with some changes provided by yourself, re-writers can be found who will do this for perhaps $5 an article, this additional text will tend to get better search ranking, and provide phrases matching people's searches. You will get lots of people no where near you reading these guides but more locals as well, with the localizing info on your site like your contact page, the search results for local searches may rank a bit better.
Another SEO practice is to submit articles to article directories Ezinearticles.com is the best known, a link to the authors site is included in the credits, these article collections are made available for webmasters to copy to their sites in exchange for providing one more backlink to the author's site.

Paid advertisements can be geo targeted to only reach people with driving distance of your offices, Google Adwords and Facebook ads are the easiest to start with, they are quite different in nature, your message can reach people on the Google search engine looking for exactly the service you provide, while you have to interrupt someone's social meanderings on Facebook, there are unique demographic targeting opportunities with Facebook ads, though I'm not sure what characterizes potential movers. These paid ads might cost $0.30 to $3.00 a click or more, depending on the subject, typically a sales/landing page is custom tailored to match the advertisement to maximize conversion and satisfy the ad providers requirement for relevance to the ad message.
