How have you got the products details now?

Are they listed on an Excel spreadsheet or could they be? If so, with many of Wordpress e-commerce plugins you can upload a csv file(from Excel) to the my-sql database(where all the product details are stored) in one go. Then you might have to some fine tuning of the product details but it could save you a lot of effort & money if this was possible.

What Wordpress plugin is going to be used for your products?
