FB comments irritating the heck out of me?

I have a problem with small talk. I always have. When I have something meaningful to say I say it. I don't like having a conversation or making comments for the sake of doing so.
I have a bunch of people on my bf friends list who are so ditsy despite being my age. They always keep posting on each other's walls and comment on each other's pictures lines such as, "I love you," "Aww you are so cute, "Beautifulz," "I love your hair, face, nose whatever," "Gorgeous," "You are soo ooooo pretty," and so on.

I can give compliment, in fact I do a lot, and my compliments are much more genuine than that, partly because I dish out compliments in small doses lol so its naturally genuine as opposed to complimenting on fb every day, multiple people.

The thing is these fb friends of mine don't have anything else to say. I barely see them, when I do, they don't say hello unless I come up to them and say hello myself, yet they go on fb a week later and start posting comments "Aww you so pretty". They do this with other friends too, people they are actually much closer friends with as well, but it all just seems so fake, this purported niceness.

I hid all their comments, so I don't see them anymore haha. But, why am I so irritated by such seemingly fake small talk? Do any of you feel the same?
